| Insurance: The Club has liability insurance for members on the scheduled rides. Riders are advised to obtain their own personal insurance to cover liability when not riding with the club including riding to or from the organised ride. Bicycles NSW and Velossure are two places that bicycle liability insurance can be purchased from - each has different coverage so check which suits your needs. E-bike requirement rules: All e-bikes must conform to the current NSW Government e-bike requirements. This requires that they have maximum continuous power of 500 watts, till the 1st of March 2029, then reduced to 250 watts maximum continuous power at that date; that they have a motor that does not provide power at speeds higher than 25kmh, or a throttle device function that cuts out at 6kmh. A club requirement is that the seat must be height-adjustable. Note that after the 1st March 2029 only bicycles that meet the NSW Government requirements for e-bikes, that is bikes with motors rated at maximum countinuous power of 250 watts, will be allowed on NSW roads. | |
